National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL)

USTA FOUNDATION

The USTA Foundation's National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) network is inspired by the legendary Arthur Ashe’s firmly-held belief that tennis is the world’s greatest teacher, and helps create pathways for young people to explore opportunities they may have never thought possible.

More than 50 years ago, three friends shared a dream. Arthur Ashe, Charlie Pasarell, and Sheridan Snyder started NJTL to bring the life lessons that tennis teaches to as many young Americans as possible.

Today, the NJTL network is the core initiative of the USTA Foundation.

TASA is now an approved NJTL Chapter! As part of the National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) network, we combine on-court tennis instruction and training with educational and life-skill components such as mentoring, leadership, good sportsmanship, team play, and health and nutrition. We strive to enable equal opportunities for all children, regardless of income, race, or gender.
